About This Project
Resilient Monroe! is an all-new, land-use planning and community design project sponsored by the City of Monroe, Frenchtown Charter Township and Monroe Charter Township. This project will result in an updated Municipal Master Plan for the City of Monroe and improvements to the existing Municipal Master Plans for Frenchtown and Monroe Charter Townships. Together, these three local governments and their Master Plans will provide guidance for successful, resilient community development in the years to come.
The Monroe Community is getting stronger and more resilient
Through this cooperative planning effort, the citizens and leaders of Monroe are working together to strengthen the community’s ability to manage changes and challenges of all kinds – and to thrive. Planning for a strong and diverse local economy, responsive and interconnected human service systems, and carefully managed natural resources is making Monroe a more resilient and more desirable place to live, now and in the future.
Join the effort to plan a stronger local economy and a more vibrant and Resilient Monroe! Contribute your suggestions, ideas, innovations, and energy by joining one or more community-planning action teams (CATs) working with Resilient Monroe! Just let us know you are interested and we will send you a participant packet and keep you updated on every opportunity to participate and engage.
