Community Action Teams

Community Action Teams (CATs) met four times in May-July to examine six systems that sustain the Monroe Community, with an emphasis on resilience. Each team had the opportunity to learn about the workings of the system, as well as its strengths and weaknesses. During the final two meetings, teams were asked to think innovatively about how best to enhance the system, establishing goals and recommendations to pass along to the Community Planning Committee. The following is a list of topics or systems that were addressed by the CATs. Please click the topic to see a more detailed explanation:

1. Access & Transportation
2. Business & Economy
3. Buildings & Neighborhoods
4. Agriculture & Food System
5. Human & Social Systems
6. Natural & Environmental Systems

The schedule, agenda, and meeting notes from each gathering are available for download here.
